Privacy Policy

MyTerra is a farm management app. This policy explains, in plain language, what data we handle when you use it, where that data lives, and what your rights are. We have tried to keep it short and honest — we collect very little.
Who is responsible for your data
MyTerra is operated by Dervis Kanina, Tirana, Albania (the "data controller"). For anything related to your data, contact dervis.kanina@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and are never visible to us in plain text.
- Your farm data: everything you enter into the app — zones, crops, animals, tasks, pantry items, notes, and the financial figures you choose to record. This is your content; we store it so the app works across your devices.
- Subscription data: your plan (trial, Basic, Pro, or Lifetime) and, once paid subscriptions launch, references to your customer and subscription records at our payment provider. We never receive or store your card number.
- Usage analytics: we use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool. It uses no cookies, does not track you across sites, and does not store your IP address. It tells us things like how many people visited and which pages they used.
What we deliberately do not do
- We do not sell your data. To anyone. Ever.
- We do not show ads or share data with advertisers.
- We do not use tracking cookies.
- The in-app farm assistant runs entirely on your device — your questions to it are not sent to us or to any AI provider.
Where your data lives
Database: Supabase, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU region eu-central-1).
Hosting/CDN: Vercel serves the app itself.
On your device: the app keeps a local copy of your farm in your browser's storage so it works offline. Signing out clears it.
Third parties we use
- Supabase — authentication and database (EU).
- Vercel — web hosting.
- Umami — cookieless analytics.
- Open-Meteo — weather. If you set a town for the weather widget, that town name (only the name, nothing about your account) is sent to Open-Meteo to fetch a forecast.
- Paddle — once paid plans launch, Paddle acts as our merchant of record: they process the payment, handle card data, and issue the invoice. Their privacy policy applies to the checkout.
Why we process your data (legal bases)
- To provide the service you signed up for (contract): account, farm data, sync, subscription status.
- Legitimate interest: keeping the service secure and understanding aggregate usage via privacy-preserving analytics.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. If your trial or subscription ends, your farm data is kept (read-only) so nothing is lost if you come back. If you delete your account, your data is deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your data, or object to processing. You can export your full farm data yourself at any time from Settings inside the app. To delete your account and all associated data, email dervis.kanina@gmail.com from your account email — we will confirm and complete deletion within 30 days. An in-app deletion button is on our roadmap; until it ships, email is the way. If you believe we are mishandling your data, you also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
MyTerra is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will note it here with a new date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app.
